Oklahoma is two different states as far as an undercarriage is concerned. East of I-35 it's rock — sandstone, shale and chert through the Ozark uplift and the Ouachitas, with timber and cedar on top of it. West of there it's red dirt, sand and caliche, and the wear is abrasion rather than impact. A dozer building a location in the Anadarko Basin and a mulcher clearing cedar in Cherokee County are burning through undercarriage for completely different reasons.

- Pad and shoe swaps — pulling worn shoes off a serviceable chain and bolting on new ones, instead of buying a complete chain you don't need
- Building complete track groups — chain, shoes and hardware assembled and ready to install when it arrives
Portable Pin Presses
For fleets that would rather do their own undercarriage work, we sell portable track pin presses — master pin removal and installation, pin and bushing turns, and chain work in your own yard or out on location. On a pipeline spread or a lease two hours from the nearest shop, that's the difference between a half-day repair and a week of downtime.

Oil Rigs, Drilling Locations and Pipeline Work
Oklahoma is one of the most pipeline-dense states in the country, and Cushing is the crossroads for a large share of the nation's crude. But the work starts long before the pipe does.
Building and Maintaining Rig Locations
Every drilling rig sits on a pad somebody built. Dozers cut and level the location, excavators dig reserve pits and set flowlines, loaders and blades keep lease roads passable through mud season and after every storm. These machines work remote sites far from any shop, get loaded and hauled constantly between locations, and run on ground that's rock in the east and abrasive red clay in the west. Travel wear alone puts hours on an undercarriage that never show up as digging time.
Crawler-Mounted Drilling and Support Equipment
Track-mounted drills, workover units, sidebooms and pipelayers all run undercarriage, and they run it in an unusual duty cycle — long stationary periods under heavy load, then repositioning across rough ground. That combination is hard on rollers, idlers and track adjusters in ways a normal excavator duty cycle isn't. We stock components for crawler-mounted rigs and support equipment, not just conventional construction machines.
Pipeline Right-Of-Way
Construction and maintenance runs sidebooms, dozers and excavators across ground that changes character every few miles — rock in the east, sand and clay in the west, creek crossings in between. Extreme travel, constant loading and unloading, and long stretches far from any parts counter.
Location Cleanup, Reclamation and P&A Work
Plugging and abandonment, pit closure and site restoration keep equipment working long after the rig moves off, often on ground that's been compacted hard for years.
Across the Anadarko, Arkoma and SCOOP/STACK plays, the common thread is distance. A machine down on a lease two hours from Tulsa costs more per hour of downtime than the same machine in town. That's why we stock fast-moving wear items rather than ordering them in — a spread doesn't stop for a backordered idler.
Rock, Chert and Eastern Oklahoma Terrain
The Ozark uplift and the Ouachitas put machines in a high-impact application whether the operator thinks of it that way or not. Sandstone, shale and chert produce cracked rollers, damaged idlers, bent guards and chipped sprocket teeth rather than gradual wear. Heavy-duty gauge components, rock guards and full-length guiding cost more up front and are consistently cheaper across the life of the machine here.
Land Clearing, Cedar and Brush Control
Eastern redcedar encroachment has turned land clearing into a permanent industry in this state rather than an occasional job. Mulchers, forestry heads, skid steers and CTLs work stumps, stobs and rock continuously — the single hardest thing you can do to a rubber track or an undercarriage in Oklahoma. Full-length guiding, guarding and heavy sidewall track construction earn their cost quickly, and a thrown track a mile into a cedar thicket is a recovery, not a repair.
Ranching, Pasture and Ponds
Cattle operations across the state generate steady work that never shows up in construction statistics: pond and tank building, fence line clearing, feed lot maintenance, brush control and road work. Mostly compact equipment, mostly owner-operated, and generally running well past the point where an undercarriage inspection would have saved money.
Red Dirt, Expansive Clay and Drought
Oklahoma's red soils are iron-rich and abrasive. They pack wet and set up hard dry, and the state's expansive clays swing between the two extremes across a season. Material packs into running gear and then bakes solid, loading idlers, recoil springs and adjusters. Drought-hardened ground turns ordinary excavation into an impact application, which is why summer digging often wears GET faster than winter.
Aggregate, Quarry and Coal
Limestone and sandstone quarrying, sand and gravel operations along the rivers, and surface coal mining in the northeast counties. High-hour machines in continuous rock contact, heavy GET consumption, and operators who track cost per hour closely.
