A compact excavator working a water main replacement in Queens sees a completely different kind of wear than a dozer pushing glacial till in the Southern Tier — and both of them are fighting freeze-thaw cycles, road salt and rock that most of the country never deals with. Rubber Tracks
Rubber tracks for mini and midi excavators, compact track loaders, multi-terrain loaders, dumpers and carriers. We stock the sizes that actually move in this region — the 300mm through 450mm ranges that dominate urban utility work — along with wider CTL tracks for grading and site prep.
- Non-marking compounds for work on finished concrete, asphalt, parking structures, hospital and school campuses, and anywhere the property owner cares what the surface looks like afterward

We run a track press at our New York branch, which means we're not only selling you components — we can do the work that turns them into a finished track. That includes:
- Shortening and lengthening chains — adding or removing links to correct pitch, adjust for wear, or adapt a chain to a different machine
- Pad and shoe swaps — pulling worn shoes off a serviceable chain and bolting on new ones
- Building complete track groups — chain, shoes and hardware assembled and ready to install when it arrives
Portable Pin Press
Undercarriage work doesn't have to mean loading a machine on a lowboy and shipping it to a shop. We supply portable track pin presses so your own shop or service crew can handle master pin removal and installation, pin and bushing turns, and chain work right in the yard or on the job site.
To be clear: we don't perform the work — we sell you the tool that makes doing it yourself practical. For a fleet that's already turning its own wrenches, it pays for itself fast in avoided transport and downtime.

New York City and the Metro Area
Urban construction here runs on compact equipment — mini excavators, skid steers and compact track loaders that fit inside a lane closure. High machine hours, constant travel over concrete and asphalt, and tight turning in confined sites all accelerate rubber track and pad wear far beyond what the same machine would see on an open site. Add DEP water main work, Con Ed and National Grid utility cuts, DOT roadwork, and interior and selective demolition, and you have a market that consumes non-marking tracks and bolt-on pads at a rate almost nowhere else does.
Long Island
Sandy, silica-heavy soil is quietly one of the most abrasive materials an undercarriage can run in. Nassau and Suffolk contractors doing site development, septic and drainage, pool excavation and residential foundation work typically see faster bushing and sprocket wear than their upstate counterparts. Frequent road travel between short-duration jobs compounds it.
Hudson Valley and the Capital Region
Quarry and aggregate operations, highway work, and a steady volume of commercial and warehouse site development. This is heavier-machine country — dozers, larger excavators and loaders working rock — which means impact damage, cracked rollers, bent guards and the kind of wear that calls for heavy-duty gauge components rather than standard.
Central, Western and Northern New York
Dairy and row-crop agriculture across the Finger Lakes, Genesee Valley and Mohawk Valley runs an enormous population of skid steers and compact track loaders in barns, feedlots and fields. Manure, silage acid and constant wet-dry cycling are hard on rubber tracks, and most operators are running them well past the point where a fresh set would pay for itself in traction alone.
Forestry and logging in the Adirondacks, Tug Hill and Catskills means harvesters, forwarders and mulchers on steep, rocky, root-bound ground — the highest-impact undercarriage application in the state, and one where full-length track guiding and rock guards genuinely pay for themselves.
Winter, Salt and Freeze-Thaw
The Northeast punishes undercarriage in ways that don't show up in a manufacturer's wear chart:
- Road salt and brine accelerate corrosion in chain joints and seal groups, and shorten the life of pin and bushing seals
- Freeze-thaw cycling packs material into the undercarriage, then freezes it solid — putting extreme load on idlers, recoil springs and track adjusters
- Frozen ground and ice turn ordinary digging into an impact application
- Snow removal season puts municipal and private fleets on pavement continuously for months, which is brutal on pads and cutting edges
The upside is that winter is also when a lot of Northeast fleets have equipment sitting. Planned undercarriage rebuilds during slow months cost dramatically less than emergency ones in July. We'd rather help you measure and plan a rebuild in January than expedite a chain to you in the middle of a paving contract.
